Our Story
TARA sits at a curve in the Chao Phraya where the city breathes closest to the water. A chic lifestyle retreat for those who seek wellness, stillness, and a genuine connection to nature — without leaving Bangkok. The jungle, the river, and the city are not in conflict here. They are the experience.

Surrounded by the tropical green that Bangkok rarely shows you — riverside mangroves, garden canopy, the dense corridor of the Chao Phraya. Here, nature is not decoration. It is the architecture.
A tropical garden by the water
The River
A front-row seat to the Chao Phraya — fishing boats at dawn, temple spires at dusk, the city’s quiet commerce all day long. Most rooms and terraces face the water.
The living Chao Phraya
The City
Bangkok at your doorstep, by river or by road. Our private pier opens to the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and the city’s deepest cultural treasures — minutes by boat, never with the noise.
In the heart of Bangkok
“The river is not scenery.
It is the reason.”
At the River
The Chao Phraya is never the same river twice. Each hour brings a new light, a new mood, another reason to stay a little longer.
At Dawn
Begin with yoga on the riverside deck as mist rises off the Chao Phraya. The city belongs only to you this hour.
At Noon
The pool catches afternoon light filtered through tropical canopy. Longtail boats draw white lines across the water beyond.
At Dusk
As temples turn amber, join us for sundowners on the terrace. The river's surface turns to hammered copper and gold.
At Night
The Chao Phraya glitters with city lights. Dinner is unhurried. The water continues its ancient, quiet conversation.
Rooms & Suites
Most rooms are oriented toward the water and the garden — natural materials, forest greens, and a palette drawn from the Chao Phraya at different hours.

Unwind by the water. Our riverside pool deck looks out across the Chao Phraya where Krung Thon Bridge has stood since 1958, built to connect the Dusit and Thonburi sides of Bangkok, once known to locals simply as Sang Hi Bridge. The river has always been the city's beating heart and from here, you watch it flow past at your own pace.

A shaded retreat surrounded by lush greenery. Settle in, slow down, and let Bangkok wait. When you're ready, our poolside menu is there to refresh you without ever leaving your lounger.
Dining
Our riverside terrace restaurant is an open-air stage overlooking the Chao Phraya. The menu draw from the local's fresh ingredients. Eating here is a wellness act in itself.

Pool & Wellness
Our main pool is framed by the hotel's signature geometric façade and a wall of tropical green. A second riverside pool sits at the water's edge — where the Chao Phraya feels close enough to touch. Both are surrounded by the sound of nothing urgent.
